Orientation/Fundamentals Class - Sunday, 18 Oct 09
The class is limited to the first 30 people. Anyone who signs up after the first 30 people will be on stand-by. Please only sign up if you are serious. If you are not serious, you are taking up a valuable slot for someone who is serious, and the trainers' valuable time.

Location of the class is the North Side Fitness Center located on Ramstein Air Base.

Below, you’ll find the schedule:

1100-1115: Greetings/Introductions
1115-1145: CrossFit defined…concepts & methodology
1145-1150: Break
1150-1250: Learning the nine foundational movements of CrossFit (demos and practical application/training)
1250-1300: Break
1300-1345: Olympic ring training, kipping pull-ups…what they are and how to do them, kettlebell intro
1345-1400: Break
1400-1415: CrossFit Warm-Up
1415-1445: WOD (workout of the day)
1445-1500: Nutrition lectrure…general Q & A

We’d like to try to stick to the schedule as best we can; historically though, the class tends to go a few minutes over the prescribed time. We’ll be happy to stick around for a few extra minutes afterwards to answer any questions that you may have.

Here’s what you need to do to prepare for the class:

--Please ensure that you hydrate appropriately a good 24 hours prior to the class and get plenty of rest the night before. Trust us…you’ll be getting a great workout!

--Any kind of workout attire will be appropriate. However shorts and t-shirt work the best. Avoid baggy clothes and sweat suits.

--Because of the length of the class, it is recommended that you bring something to eat.

--We are also assigning you a homework assignment prior to coming to the class. Please take the time to read the PDFs…they contain some really great info about CrossFit. (you will get the PDF's approximately one week out from the class)

--Also, you’ll find a waiver/liability release form attached along with the PDF's—please print it, fill it out, and bring it with you. You will not be able to attend the class without it.
