~Lauren Guibert~

CrossFit Level I Certified Trainer

Lauren proudly serves in the United States Air Force as a Logistics Readiness Officer and is currently stationed at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Lauren played lacrosse at the US Air Force Academy and after graduating in 2005, found that doing the same old workouts five days a week in the "globo gym" did not satisfy her competitive spirit. She started running in distance races and finished her first half marathon in 2006, which sparked her interest in endurance sports. She has since competed in various distance running races and triathlons.

In June of 2008, a friend who happened to be a CrossFit trainer, introduced Lauren to CrossFit and she started incorporating some CrossFit into her endurance training. She hadn't quite drank the Kool-Aid yet. In February of 2009 she moved to Ramstein Germany and joined the Crossfit Ramstein family. By April, she had "entered the zone" and couldn't chug the Kool-Aid fast enough! She started using CrossFit and CrossFit Endurance as her only training programs--she hasn't looked back since.

Lauren's training philosophy is simple: establish a firm foundation by learning a movement properly the first time, develop and practice your skills to build upon what you've learned, and hold yourself to a standard of mechanical excellence. If you do your best every day and give every WOD 100%, you can't ask for anything more. She enjoys teaching people the CrossFit method and talking to anyone who will listen about Crossfit; she considers it not just a workout program but a 'lifestyle'.
